Clarence graduate speaker at NFL conference in LondonFor this article I interviewed Micah Kurtz, a '98 Clarence High graduate, Kurtz currently resides in Orlando, Florida and has excelled in his career as a strength and conditioning coach at the high school level. On Oct. 9 Kurtz was a featured speaker at the NFL Coaches Academy in London. He spoke to approximately 200 UK coaches on athletic development as part of the NFL initiative to increase the popularity and accessibility of American football overseas. This was not the first time Kurtz has spoken at a prestigious sports conference. He was also a speaker at the Mexico City NFL Coaches Academy in 2017. The USA Football Conference in 2018 and the USA Basketball Coaches Conference in 2018. In addition to these events, Micah has received multiple awards and recognitions. Including being named the 2016 NSCA National Strength Coach of the year. As well as being selected by the National High School Athletic Coaches Association as a "Top 40 under 40 Sports Professional."
